Philadelphia, PA | Jen and Chris's Wedding Photos | NJ and PA Wedding Photos

It all started back in 2015, when I photographed Jen and her family for a Christmas photo. Her family was so much fun even on a chilly day.

Fast forward a few months, Jen emailed to book her wedding date. I was so excited that she picked me to photograph this special day for her.

Then this spring, we photographed her engagement session at the Philadelphia Art Museum and Boathouse Row. Honestly, they are sooo photogenic that it was hard to not get a good image.

Fast forward... again, to their special day.

I met Chris at his mom's house, which is right around the corner from their own home. All the guys were ready and Braden, their son, was sooooo cute and ready for the big day. Jen told me about one special gift... she didn't tell me about 5 total!!! Chris is one lucky man!!! Look below at some of the highlights... hysterical!!!

Then it was off to Jen's house... literally right around the corner. She was finishing up her make-up and her girls were hanging out. Music, drinks, laughing and so much fun with the ladies! First, I started photographing the details. You would never guess that her flowers were silk! They were absolutely stunning! Perfectly beaded and buttoned dress. A beautiful keepsake to remember her mom. (see images below) The added touch that made her bouquet sparkle!

Jen's sister's Nicole and Ashley helped button her into the perfect wedding dress. Then it was off to the church!

Braden was a riot walking down the aisle and smiling at everyone! He's a ham. Seeing Chris's face when he saw his bride was priceless. He had such a big grin on his face.

Portraits at the Core Creek Park were absolutely stunning. The sun was just about to set and it made the perfect silhouette. I'm kind of obsessed with silhouette's right now :)

Then it was off to dance the night away at the Philadelphia Ballroom. The music was amazingly played by DJ Mike Galioto. There was always someone on the dance floor.

I have to say. This was one of the best wedding's of the year. So much fun, so laid back and an amazing couple who have the most amazing son. I look forward to watching their family grow.

Please enjoy Jen and Chris's wedding day photos!

Womb Wednesday - Tips for before you get pregnant - Moorestown NJ

Before even trying to get pregnant, it is important for you to stay healthy and prepare for that baby! It will be easier to keep a healthy lifestyle if you start a routine. Here are some tips on how to start, stay healthy and prepare for your pregnancy.

  • Start a prenatal vitamin. Prenatals are healthy all around. I still take them and my son is one. They will help with not only gorgeous skin and hair but also to increase your folic acid which is important in the beginning of a pregnancy.
  • See your Doctor. Have a physical done to make sure you are healthy.
  • Exercise! Starting now will help you stay in shape during pregnancy, can lower your risk of miscarriage, and has been proven to help reduce labor complications and length.
  • Eat a new vegetable you haven't tried.
  • Stop smoking. There are many programs to help you.
  • Ask your partner to join you on your new healthy habit changes.
  • Track your cycles. Learning what you can about your cycles will help determine when you ovulate and when you conceived. These make for more accurate due dates.
  • Avoid chemicals that could possibly harm your baby. You can find these at work, in your home, and just about anywhere, be environmentally sensitive.
  • See your dentist before you get pregnant and brush your teeth daily. I know so many moms who have dental issues during and after pregnancy so make sure you keep up with the daily routine!
  • Tell any medical professional that you may be pregnant if you are trying to get pregnant. This can prevent exposure to harmful tests and chemicals if you are pregnant and don't know it yet. Examples: Dental xrays, medical procedures, etc.
  • Stop changing the cat litter!
  • Act pregnant. This includes not drinking alcohol, even while trying to conceive. There is no known safe level during pregnancy and alcohol can cause birth defects.
  • Nap when you can!
  • Drink 6-8 ounces of water a day to keep hydrated.
  • Join prenatal yoga.
  • If you are decorating your house or a nursery remember to avoid fumes often associated with paint and wall paper. Perhaps have friends do the heavy work while you help make snacks for them. Keep the windows open!
  • Baby sit a friend's baby and learn a bit about caring for a newborn.
  • Take a breastfeeding class to help prepare you for the realities of breastfeeding.

Hope these are a help!

Why is it important to print?

Digital is the new age. Everyone is one the internet. Books are in digital format. Newspapers are not paper anymore. As the social media trends fade out… the pictures we posted will be forgotten!  The digital images saved on our computers get lost in the all information…. but a print on a wall, or an album full of beautiful memories, well that will always be there!

But, why should you print your images?

  • Research has shown that having family photographs displayed in your home gives children more confidence and self-esteem. They see happiness and fun. Seeing it everyday shows that you as a parent are proud of your family and are happy to show them off. Kids don't go to the family computer and look up family portraits everyday.
  • Digital images are not archival. Computers break. We all know that sometimes there is no reason. Yes, digitals are great for sharing on social media and email. But, what happens if your hard drive fries?
  • Physical prints give you heirlooms to pass down as you move on in your life. Often you are not recording (capturing a moment) and printing (preserving the moment) for today, but instead for tomorrow, for your children and your children’s children. Passing down a box of hard drives doesn’t exactly have the same appeal, does it?

This is the reason why I now offering framed prints and canvas. I had too many clients who would never print, didn't know where to print or would get bad prints from Walmart. I want to provide the best mounted prints, frames and canvas. I am here to help you design your space.

So don’t just let your images get lost, display them for everyone who enters your house and, most importantly, your family to see!
