Baby Baptism and Family Session

Last Summer Laura and her husband contacted us to cover a very special occasion, their daughter’s christening at their family church. In addition to capturing the actual baptism, we took several family portraits with their extended family and made sure to capture the small details of their baby’s special day. Surely, this session was so special and we cannot wait to see their beautiful smiles in the studio to capture future milestones!

First, we captured Laura getting her daughter ready for her baptism, dressing her in her cute christening gown and hat. We always start with either the baby’s mother or godparents getting the baby dressed for ceremonies like this. Then, if the weather is nice, we make sure to go outside and take formal family portraits with the extended family as well as the immediate family. We concluded the session by taking photos of the moments during the actual baptism. That is, where the pastor pours the Holy Water on the baby’s head.
