Simple First Birthday Session
Kait and her beautiful family came into the studio for their daughter’s session earlier this year! For this session, we decided on a simple photoshoot that emphasizes the family’s authenticity and details. As a custom studio, we cater to our client’s wishes and provide backdrops and props. We strive to provide a great and memorable experience and photos that our clients can fondly look back on for years to come.
First, we took portraits of Kait and her husband as their kiddos were getting comfortable and exploring the studio. Actually, we recreated some of the photos we did for her newborn session with this session to capture how much she has grown. We love a before and after photo! Typically, for first birthday sessions, we do a cake smash, tubby time, and classic portraits.
As you can see, we didn’t do a cake smash for this session. Kait decided on a little couch set with balloons and yellow accents instead. Finally, we set up our tubby time set, where we usually fill the tub with warm water. Instead, we left it empty and she had a ton of fun anyway! Certainly, we loved the cute outfit that Kait chose for her daughter’s special day. The yellow and light blue combination highlights her big, beautiful blue eyes. We are so happy to have had Kait and her family in the studio for their daughter’s simple first birthday session and we can’t wait to see them again soon.
